Our first glimpse of Eva

In 2005, the British Army selected a replacement for the now 15-year-old fleet of T244s, the MAN HX60. So, on the 19th of April 2011, 31KJ56 was decommissioned and entered civvy street. According to the paperwork, at that time she was painted red and had only 58,915km (36,608 miles) on the clock.

Her history is a little unclear for the next five years. Instead of being decommissioned in the UK and sold through one of the official channels, she stayed in Canada and probably ended up at a local scrap yard.

Fortunately, in July 2016 she was saved and purchased as a farm vehicle in Slave Lake, Alberta.
