Wheels

Having decided I wanted to upgrade to larger tires I simply copied Nic’s Overland Truck Bucky and brought a set of custom wheels from Stazworks. He takes US military wheels designed for an MRAP (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicle, adds a custom-made mounting ring and powder coats them. They are exceedingly pretty!

Not only are they bigger, but because they are made from aluminum, they are much lighter than the DAF’s steel wheels. To be specific they are:

• 20×10 SW199 2-piece non-beadlock
• 8×275 221mm bore, 1” lug hole
• Tall lip 1199
• Satin black back
• Gunmetal front
• 5/8-18 grade 8 bolts, torqued to 180 ft.-lbs
