Whilst reviewing the parts needed to finish the engine overhaul, my engine guru (Pete from Lil’ Pete’s Service and Repair) pointed out that it’d only take removing 8 more bolts and we could lift the engine out completely.
Sounded like a crazy idea initially but with winter coming I knew it’d make the job painting the engine inside my garage much easier.
After phoning Pete to let him know we should go for it, I built a platform from a scrap of MDF, some Faztek aluminum extrusion and some heavy-duty casters.
So once more we stepped into the unknown and out it came!
